Chorus!
Take a couple minutes and let me know what you think about the progress we have made so far this year. What do you think of "sectionals"? Are they helping and do you find sectional work better than sitting quietly while another section is working with me? What do you wish we didn't do in chorus? What do you wish we did/did more of? And finally, what is your goal for this year in chorus?

Hey KP! I think that the sectionals are a wonderful idea. It gives us a chance to hear just our part and see what we need to work on more. Also I wish that we warmed up more. We need a chance to get ready before we have to sing. Finally my goal, just like last year, is to get better at sight reading!

When will Tri-M meetings begin again? Almost a month has passed and we ahve done nothing?

Probably the week after next. Brad, can you ask around and find out what day of the week is good for people and let me know? Last year was a little dice-y with attendance at meetings.

What uppp KP okay so i think sectionals are pretty good and it helps us because when we sing it without the piano its 10 times easier with the piano. Also i think we should warm up more and do some like breathing techniques so people know how to breathe. Anddd i want to sing better and its making me aggrivated k thanks i prob. spelled a million things wrong but oh well bye :)

Ok kiddos, I will agree to a minimum of 7 minutes of warmups, on one condition: You must put in just as much effort on the last warmup as the first warmup. ok? :)

Yo KP! whats shakin? Haha remember that day last year when i walked in and said that and started rapping cus julia told me to?

I agree that more warm and different warm ups would be good. I like sectionals a lot; it really helps us hear our parts and learn them better. When I listen to you play the other parts then I get confused and start singing their parts. And I totally agree with Sarah that I wanna learn to sight read better. Oh and I think that we should do like one modern song in the Spring concert.

I think we have made great progress! It is only the first month or so of school, and we have already learned a bunch of songs, which is very good. It keeps chorus interesting instead of working on the same things each day. I like sectionals, they usually help. I like that we have something to do instead of sitting around, it is much more efficient. I wish we didn't sing I will remember you...just kidding. =) No, everything is fine. I liked that we did more warm-ups today, that was good. I wish we spent more time concentrating on even more techniques and things like that. My goal this year for chorus is to sightread music better and faster.

Okay, I am going to sound like a broken record but I agree that sectionals are a very good idea. I like how we can all help each other on things and such. We all think we should warm-up more so I think that's a done deal. I'm a little rusty on well, everything. I used to take voice lessons and I have tried out for districts and semsba in middle school and I've had a few solos but I froze on stage in 7th grade and I kind of just dropped singing for a while. I'm trying to get more comfortable with singing in front of people again so, once that happens hopefully I'll be at least somewhat of a decent singer again. Am I rambling? I think I'm rambling. Did I even answer everything you asked? In case you didn't get it... my goal for this year is to work on everything.

I love this class by the way. =)

Mmmmmmk bye.

Hey Ms.P!
I think the sectionals are a very good idea because we are learning quicker and we aren't wasting any time in class and everyone is always doing something. Something UI wish we did more of is breathing excersizes and voice excersizes. My goal this year in chorus is to make districts and SEMSBA!!!!

I like the sectionals because they're a lot easier to learn our parts, and its more fun than sitting there while you teach another group their part. honestly, theres nothing i dont like about chorus, it doesnt even feel like a class, haha :] maybe if we tried some different warm-ups it would be better, because sometimes it gets boring singing the same warm-ups everyday. my goal this year in chorus is to improve my singing, because my voice isnt that strong when i sing anymore.. well, maybe thats just because i've been sick since school started, but i dont know, hahaha. - amanda arns :]

I think sectionals help a lot. They help you to be able to listen to your group without everyone else, and their parts. When I just sit quietly and listen, I tend to learn that part your working on. So leaving when your with a different part definatly helps me.I love everything about chorus...I don't think there is anything I want to do more often. My goal this year is to become a stonger better singer than I was when I started.

HIIIIII KP!! HIIIII JACKIE! haha
What's up? Haha I really don't have a lot of time... my sister wants to go on Club Penguin lol. Anyway, I think sectionals definitely help to learn your part of the song. I think it's a bit hard to do sectionals with "Go With a Song In Your Heart" when you're listening to the other parts, but that's just me. But yeah, it's waaaay better than sitting quietly. Pssht, not that we'd be sitting quietly anyway haha. The only thing I dont like about Chorus is that we dont have inspirational voice-aiding pizza and soda day. That would motivate!! I wish we did more fun songs that didn't sound so sad. Like, we should totally do a Legally Blonde or Wicked song. That would totally spice things up!! Uhh what's next... Oh yeah. Well my goal for chorus is to learn to like my voice and not sing so quietly. I hate singing all alone, but I loooooooooove to sing, so I'm going to try to work on that. But yeah, I reeeeallllly have to go. My five minutes is up lol. See you laterrr =]

Kbye :)

lmao Wicked: Choral Highlights. ....good one!

I like sectionals because it helps me learn my part on the song instead of the other parts. I don't like sectionals because we can't ask you a question right away. My goals are to make my voice stronger so I can sing better. what I like about chorus is i love to sing and what I don't like about chorus is how long it it.

My goal in chorus, is that I want to become a better singer in life, and get better at reading music. Also I want to do good with my breathing when I am singing. Yea, and I usually get lost in the song trying to read the lyrics, but this year I want to know what I am doing.
