Chorus assignment: Watch the following videos and comment to answer my questions below!
Looking on Youtube, I found several examples of "children's songs" sung by high school students. Some parts good, some parts..not so much. What do you like? What don't you like? As you know, we are performing for the LGN students on March 3rd. What can we add to our own performance after watching these videos?

okayy wellll... for the first video i didnt like it so much. They didnt blend very well but i did like the last girl solo. In the the other ones I didnt like the dancing lol they were all not together and they all look unsure of them selfs. I think for us to sound our best we need to look happy about what we are singing and sing with more energy.
I definitely did not like all of the choreography and costumes and such. I also didn't like how they divided the girls and boys up. I know we don't have many boys to do that anyway, but I didn't like all the parts being split up. I like how we mixed all of the parts for the winter concert. One thing I did like was how they didn't use their music. It looked very neat and organized in that aspect. I think that we sould learn our music well so that no one needs it in front of them. I like how we sing the parts that are intended to be spoken. It sounds better that way. So yeah, that's what I think about all of this.
I think that the soloists were not very good, but then again who am I to talk! Anyways, I agree with Jess that we have to be more into the music because it will get our lovely little listeners to pay more attention! What I did like about one of the performances was the costumes! :) That would be so funny if we did that but I know that that won't fly with SOME people in chorus.... just kidding! And I don't know about any of you but as soon as I heard the Asian performers I laughed! I could have never imagined what that sounded like until I listened to it. But I did like the way they got into the music. So yah that is all I have to say!
I thought that the first HS Musical video was the best. They had a pretty well blended chorus with a lot of boys that were very good. I think it definitely helps to have an equal amount of girls and boys so that all voice parts are equal. Since we don't really have that option I think it is great that we still do all parts. I think the key to entertaining the kids at LGN is to be excited about the music, it may be a little babyish but they are going to love it! Lets see... I did not like the choreography at all haha I think that if your going to do choreography it has to be done full out not silly because that just looked like a joke. All in all, I think each chorus had something we could learn from whether it be things we didn't like or things that we did.
I couldn't see the videos. But where do we post for the disney pictures???

i have no idea what homework that you assigned but i'll do this one. Okay so the First High school musical video was pretty good the solos were terrible but the chorus was balanced with an equal amount of guys and girls and you could hear the parts perfectly. I thought the Disney Dazzles were terrible and cheesy the dancing made them sound worse haha. Also the solos were also terrible in that video too. The Disney Dazzle the last video was pretty good they sounded good but you couldn't hear the alto parts that well.
