I figured I should update my blog and get it in the holiday spirit, hence the red this month instead of my usual purple.My question for you is: What is your favorite holiday song and why? Do you have a particular memory associated with the song?
My favorite holiday song is "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" and here's why: I LOVE LOVE LOVE the original Home Alone movies (the ones with Macauley Culkin, not the other goofy kid). They were my absolute favorite when I was a kid and I watched them every Thanksgiving night with my mom, plus of course on DVD. I especially like the first Home Alone because it was very clever and the other 3 Home Alone movies pretty much followed the same premise. I liked the 2nd one because I used to go to NYC with my family every year to see a musical and I liked seeing all of the landmarks I remember as a kid. I even had a poster that my parents got me that had a map of the McAllister house with all of Kevin's traps in each room.
Anyways, back to my point. my favorite scene is when Kevin makes it look like his family is having a party so the burglars don't bother trying to rob them. He does this by rigging up mannequins to ropes which he pulls back and forth, making them dance to "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree." From the street, the two idiot burglars see the silhouettes of adults rocking out so they end up leaving....to return the next night..Every time I hear, "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" I think of my favorite holiday movie! I even had the NMS Chorus sing this song at my first concert in Norton :)

I'm gonna have to say that my favorite Christmas song is All I Want For Christmas is You. *I was pretty excited when you and Kevin did it at the recital thing* It is such a pretty and fun song. When I was little I used to put that song on repeat and dance around to it and sing it at the top of my lungs in my living room. I remember one year I even choreographed my own little dance to it. Whenever I hear that song it brings back happy memories. : D

I like a couple, but it's defiantly a tie between "Do You Hear What I Hear?" "Santa Baby" "And Mary did you Know?".
(No, I'm not religious, they're just good songs :p)
I like D.Y.H.W.I.H? because it is a sweet song and I like the way the guy sings it (I don't like the newer versions.) It gives me this warm feeling, and I just love to sing it.
Santa Baby is a fun song, and its fun to sing. If you read/listen to the lyrics, its kind of funny.
M.D.Y.K. is kind of sad, and it makes me feel good even though I feel sad. It's probably just me that gets sad, though.

im going to have to say that my all time favorite christmas song is "Christmas Shoes" because every time we decorate our tree we listen to christmas music and everytime this song would come on me and my mom would start crying because its so sad but its my favorite it has a lot of meaning and tells you what christmas is all about. And when it comes on TV around christmas time me and my mom always watch it together and sit there crying :] because its so sad so everytime i hear it brings back memories and reminds me of good christmas times :]

My favorite Christmas song is “Thankful” by Josh Groban. I love this song so much because it makes you think of other people when in this holiday season. Like he says “Some days we forget to look around us. Some days we can’t see the joy that surrounds us. So caught up inside ourselves, we take when we should give.” when decorating my house every holiday season, my family has this Christmas CD collection and when this song comes on, it gives me a chance to be thankful for what I have and not complain about what I could have or what I do not get. Also another song that comes on is the “Christmas Shoes”. This song is yet another reminder that we should give to others during Christmas and to be thankful for all that we have. Also it is a real tear jerker.
I have always had trouble picking just one of... anything, songs in particular. I have a top three though. My top three favorite holiday songs are "All I Want For Christmas Is You", "Where Are You Christmas", and "Christmas Shoes".
I have just always loved "All I Want For CHristmas Is You". And I fell in love with "Where Are You Christmas" after I saw the grinch movie with the real people. That little girls voice drove me crazy! My goal for that year was to sing that song better than she did, which wasn't very hard to do. "Christmas Shoes" is incedible. It's really sad but I still love it. His voice is amazing and I especially love with the kids sing. I don't know, I just love hearing children sing. It also remind me of my dad,my best friend, for some unknown reason. Okay, okay I know the reason, but I don't think that everyone else needs to know it.
Hmmm maybe I should have talked about this song first. Anyway, I absolutely love Chistmas in general. It's the one thing that has not changed completely since my dad and big brothers moved out.

my favorite christmas song would have to be frosty the snowman. it was the first christmas movie i can remember watching and the first christmas song i can remember learning. its also a very cute song even though its has a sad ending. poor frosty!

My favorite Christmas song is "All I Want For Christmas Is You' because it has adorable lyrics. I like the version by Mariah Carey because she has a strong voice which is good for the lyrics, and the way she sings the song. But I prefer listening to the My Chemical Romance version because its all Rock-ish and more "beast" like me! ;)
My favorite Christmas song is "This Christmas". I like this song because it is very fun and upbeat. My favorite version of the song is when Chris Brown sings it. He has a really good version of it and I like what he does with his voice. Another good version is when Ruben Studdard sings it. It is a little bit slower but his voice is very smooth and soothing during it.
My favorite Christmas song is "The Chanuka Song' by Adam Sandler in the movie Eight Crazy Nights. This is because the year it came out my dad's family watched it and since then every year we watch it on Christmas Eve. Also my dad reminds me a lot of Adam Sandler because their both really funny and like to crack jokes. Due to the movie Eight Crazy Nights I have come closer to my dad and the song just makes me laugh. That is why its my favorite Christmas song.
My favorite Christmas song is Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer. This is my favorite x-mas song because my grandma is mean. I can see her getting run over by a reindeer. I love this song also because its funny. I like anything funny.
My favorite Christmas song is "Deck the Hall" but the old version. Ilove this song because its easy to sing along to. Also, I feel this song brings back the old world Christmas cheer that I believe our society has lost. The song is about the simple joys of being with your family and decking everything out for Christmas, not about the gifts you get. I makes me think of a Victorian family getting their house ready for Christmas with a gingerbread house and a cranberry garland and mistletoe and wreaths and a huge Christmas tree. I love this song!
My favorite Christmas song is probably Winter Wonderland. I like this song the best because it is very peaceful and cheery. it reminds me of a first snow of the winter. it has a very calm yet happy sound to it. Winter Wonderland is my favorite Christmas song
My favorite Christmas song is Christmas shoes, because that song hasa meaning to it and its emotional and every time Ilisten to it I cry. And if you watch the movie "Christmas Shoes" its so, so emotional and thats why Christmas Shoes is my favorite Christmas song.
My favorite Christmas song would have to be "Where are you christmas" by Faith Hill. I love this song. I think it helps me to look back at the year and think about how much i've changed. My family and I sit down every year and watch the Grinch together so i always relate that song to my family being together.
